It makes a projectile to frighten away birds more accurate than the crescent shapes from the ice-maker in the fridge. The ice is not likely to do harm to the birds or the windows or wood trim on the house which the birds like to attack. The round shape must also have advantages in cooling drinks.

2 piece tray makes perfectly round ice balls. Easy to make, easy to remove: Fill the bottom tray with water, place the cover on top and put in the freezer. To remove, run the frozen ice tray under warm water for a minute to loosen the cover. Round ice balls are easy to remove from tray. Designed for stacking.
