This product is labeled as "Calcium Chloride Pellets." However, label on the back lists content as Calcium Chloride, Water, Potasium Chloride and Sodium Chloride -- with no information on percentage of each. Calcium Chloride Ice Melt -- with just Calcium Chloride is safe for melt runoff onto lawn grasses. Sodium Chloride and Potassium Chloride is harmful to lawn grasses. VaporiZer brand ice melter, from Benick Brands in Glastonbury, CT,is all Calcium Chloride (and water). Would not have bought this "Pellets of Fire" product had I known it contained any Potasium or Sodium Chlorides. Added comment: did not use it on walks and drive where it could run off on lawn, but did try in the street and driveway entrance -- and it was not very effective. Downcheck on product description and performance. WJB
