(More customer reviews)I bought this because I knew Henckels wouldn't be junk and that it was stainless. It is truly solid stainless design and dishwasher safe. It isn't perfect, hense the 4 stars. spoon part of the scoop is surprisingly thin (it is still very strong). The result is that scoop freezes almost instantly in ice cream. When the scoop freezes, the ice cream freezes in the scoop so it is hard to make a nice round ball of ice cream. You may have to get another spoon to pry the ice cream out or continually warm the scoop in hot water as you serve.
It gets high marks for durability and rigid strength to pry out ice cream but it suffers when trying to serve nicely formed balls.
