(More customer reviews)There are two implements that should be used to scoop ice cream: a Zeroll if you've got one, and a heavy metal spoon if you don't. Everything else falls just as short of the Zeroll as a spoon, so why bother?
My wife was a bit scandalized by the price, but the Zeroll scoops are built to last.
It works like magic. The fluid inside conducts heat from your hand to the ice cream, causing it to melt where the scoop touches it, making carving up even the hardest block of ice cream or frozen yogurt into attractive scoops a simple task. You don't need to (and shouldn't) heat it up or pre-soak it. It cleans up quite easily, which is vital since it MUST NOT be put in the dishwasher.
I love fine tools that do their job well. This is one.
