(More customer reviews)I've had this scooper for about 5 years and I give it to everyone I know.
The only other reviewer (so far) on this product mentied having an issue with it after he ran it through the dishwasher. The problem comes only if you don't follow the care instructions; no dishwasher and do not submerge in HOT water.
When someone I know uses mine, I make sure I mention the care instructions to them in case they want to help out by washing it after we have ice cream.

This handy ice cream scoop has an anti-freeze liquid in handle. The heat from the scooper's hand warms the liquid and makes cutting into hard ice cream a breeze. This #12 scoop creates 3 oz portions or about 24 scoops per gallon. Hand washable only, dishwashers will damage the scoop.
