Love these dishes, have been using them for years to feed my cats. Being footed raises them off the floor so the cats don't have to bend over so much. The curved shape means the food ends up in the bottom of the dish and they are very sturdy, not moving during meals. I was concerned about ceramic dishes because the cat's tongue are so abrasive and didn't want them eating lead-based paints. Plastics get scratched and aren't weighted enough. These are perfect and beautiful to boot!
