(More customer reviews)I purchased this product in January 2009 and spread it on our concrete walkway which is 12 years old and was still in original condition, at the time. We followed the directions for use and swept off all melted material. By the end of the winter we were greeted with a severely damaged (popped) walkway which required repair. When we spoke to the Jonathan Green company they claimed that there was nothing in this product which could cause the damage observed. They claimed the only reason our concrete "popped" was because the melted ice was reabsorbed into the porous concrete and refroze causing expansion and "popping". When I observed that this was not the first time melting and refreezing of ice had occurred on the walkway (we live in New England)and no prior damage had occurred, I received no further explanation. My repair cost is $2644.00.
