(More customer reviews)While two sides of each cube do have a little round mirror each, the other two sides of each cube are completely open! My parakeet loves this toy and likes to stick her head all the way in up to her shoulders (which won't fit through). She also turns her head completely upside down while inside the cube and has plenty of room, but I don't know if this would be a safe toy for a larger bird such as a cockateil, lovebird or parrotlet because it might get stuck.
Although this toy became an instant favorite with my parakeet, if your bird is larger than a small parakeet, monitor its play to see if its head could get stuck inside one of the cubes.
Also, the flexible plastic curled connector used to hang the toy on the cage and hold the bell on bottom might not be strong enough to withstand a beak stronger than a parakeet's.
