The bottle is in its own water tight compartment and is dry and cold for 8 hours with just enough ice. You serve out of this and its nice and stylish and easy. I have few of them I use for entertaining. No plastic jacket on your wine and no condensation anywhere for 8 hours. goes flat in drawer when not in use.
