(More customer reviews)We picked this up after my 21 year old steel snow pusher finally gave up the ghost. I got the chance to use the pusher in an ice/snow event ~4 inches. I tried my son's plastic/aluminum shovel which took multiple passes to remove most of the ice/snow. Then I got out the pusher - and was able to clear the ice/snow in one sweep. The pusher works best when you have at least a quarter inch of ice and do NOT try to lift and throw with this tool. First, the pusher is fairly heavy. Second the design will not support throwing - about half will slide off unless you're really careful. As for the plastic/aluminum blades sold in most hardwares, those are toys and not designed to last.
Be a little careful, the edges are sharp as my wife learned when she cut her self by picking it up by the reinforcing support.
Tool Time fans - this is the shovel Tim Allen would recommend and so do I!
