(More customer reviews)Not only do these cleats fit your shoes or boots poorly and allow chunks of snow or ice to get caught between the straps and the soles of your footwear, but the metal spikes themselves wear down to nothing. I used a pair of these to walk my dog for less than a month before the spikes were literally worn even with the little orange plastic things they are set in. If you don't mind wasting money on replacement spikes every few weeks or you'll only use them to get across a parking lot once in a while, then by all means--buy a pair. They do provide better traction on ice than just a regular pair of shoes, but aren't 100% slip-free. There are better options out there.
I would recommend Stabilicers Lite instead. I walked in a pair of those almost every day last winter, about 2-3 miles a day, and the spikes show barely any wear at all. I could walk quickly and confidently, without worrying about falling. The only reason I needed to replace them after a full season of wear is because the rubber started getting a little too stretched out and they were too loose to fit my boots properly anymore.
