(More customer reviews)I have a few of these, and they are wonderful for keeping your cold food chilled.
A few tricks I use to keep my food items chilled for a long period of time are as follows.
1. Use (CRUSHED) ice as opposed to full size ice cubes. This allows the (CRUSHED) ice to compact basically forming a sold uniform cooling surface, and also allows the food holding tray to seat snugly into position.
2. Keeping the unit out of direct sun light, will greatly extend the length of time the bed of ice lasts.
Let's face it. If its 90 degrees outside, not only are your guests having a melt down, you can expect that your food chiller will most likely do the same.
All in all. These units really do wonderful job in keeping all of your cold food items chilled.
