(More customer reviews)I used this for a nacho bar I had at a large party. I put the sour cream and salsa in the 2 compartments over the ice in the bottom compartment. It did the job excellently!!! The only minor complaint I have is the size. We had to refill a couple times but since we held a large party it probably was to be expected. It's probably a good size for a party at home.

I finally found this, which really fits the bill.Beware, it is much larger than it looks. So unless you are preparing food for a pretty large gathering, you will have to find creative ways to fill it up. It would be absolutely perfect for a raw veggie tray. The sections have holes in the bottom so that the food doesn't get soggy. Thats great, but it means that you can't put anything soft or liquid in it. It was definitely worth the money.

(More customer reviews)Inflatable salad bar was just the ticket for our party! I used 12 quart size ziplock freezer dishes - put in everything from taco sauce to cucumbers in. Still had room for bottles of salad dressing. Kept everything cool for the whole evening (8hrs)in 80 degree weather.
It was not as large as I thought it would be even though the sizing was given. It was hard to picture in my mind, but it did work out fine. I wouldn't recommend for much larger bowls. I had two rows of these quart size bowls. If I had realized the sizing better I would have possibly purchased two of these so I would have used for a couple of larger bowls. Still happy with the purchase. Had a lot of inquiries from the guests as to where I purchased the product. All thought it was interesting and the price doable.
Easy to inflate and take down. A little awkward to rid it of the water (melted ice) at the end of evening.

(More customer reviews)I have a few of these, and they are wonderful for keeping your cold food chilled.
A few tricks I use to keep my food items chilled for a long period of time are as follows.
1. Use (CRUSHED) ice as opposed to full size ice cubes. This allows the (CRUSHED) ice to compact basically forming a sold uniform cooling surface, and also allows the food holding tray to seat snugly into position.
2. Keeping the unit out of direct sun light, will greatly extend the length of time the bed of ice lasts.
Let's face it. If its 90 degrees outside, not only are your guests having a melt down, you can expect that your food chiller will most likely do the same.
All in all. These units really do wonderful job in keeping all of your cold food items chilled.

I put just 1 large bag of ice in the boat. The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star rating is that the one I had used before had a drain tube which was nice. We were able to open the drain into a bucket and get the water off before lifting to dump the remaining ice. With this item, we had to scoop out the water and ice before lifting it off the table. It was easy to blow up.

(More customer reviews)First off, this serving tray is big - it works really well for larger gatherings but I think is a bit of an overkill if used for smaller parties.
I like that it has two ways of using it: Either with the vented top trays to keep food cold, or only the bottom half with its three compartments - for example for chips, crackers or an assortment of nuts, i.e. foods that do not need chilling.
The first time I used this was for chilled dishes that contained some sauce/liquid, so the vented bottoms on the top trays didn't work for that. I solved the problem by lining the trays with aluminum foil in order to keep the liquids from seeping through into the ice cubes. That worked well and still kept the dishes chilled.
All in all the perfect tool for summer parties or buffets.

(More customer reviews)This bowl works quite well to keep dips cold. I particularly like the stainless steel top - it looks much nicer than if it were all plastic, and the material is dishwasher-safe. A huge plus when cleaning up after a party.
The bottom part is made of acrylic but that's perfectly fine - after all it is only used for the ice cubes (although one can use it as a standalone serving dish, too). The acrylic is surprisingly good quality and hefty, and has a subtly "ridged" decor further enhancing its visual appeal. This would look nice on any buffet table, from casual to formal.
I also like that there is a plastic lid that can be used to cover the stainless bowl - particularly useful when preparing a dish ahead of time and it must be stored in the refrigerator until served.
All in a all a very well-thought out product that solves a common party problem with style. Recommend!

Kept leftovers (bought extra intentionally) for four days (the ice didn't melt in the frig) and the shrimp was as fresh as the day it was first served! Plastic is sturdy; lids fit snuggly. You will LOVE it!
