(More customer reviews)I was given one of these about a year ago, I tried it briefly and it's been collecting dust in my closet ever since. It does chill wine. In fact, it does it pretty well. Unfortunately, it also has inside it a loud fan which is always on. Picture a quiet evening for two, a candlelight dinner and this gizmo sitting nearby that looks like a miniature nuclear power plant cooling tower and sounds like a hair dryer and you can see the problem with this thing. It's just too darn noisy! Also rather ugly, imo. A more pleasant solution would be to keep the wine in one of those wrap-around gel packs for chilling wine that you keep in the freezer until needed.

I waited a day to see if the others were being shipped separately and then called the company. They made an error and after talking to the product manager, he sent out the rest of the set. Apparently he talked to the company who makes the product who also sent me almost a complete set, so my 9 piece set turned into 18...for the same price as the original 9 piece set.

Godinger Dublin 6-Piece Crystal Whiskey Decanter Set Review

(More customer reviews)I needed a gift for my groomsmen for my wedding in about a month. I hassled with myself between this set and some much more expensive cystal decanter sets ($150-$185) on other websites where I knew I would be guaranteed good quality. I finally decided to buy these (not a lot of extra money floating around), and that I would return them if they were not of a reasonable quality. 2 of the 3 sets I ordered came in today (4 days with the free shipping option), and I inspected all pieces. I own a more expensive decanter set already that I bought overseas, so I didn't expect to be too impressed, but I was. The weight of all the pieces is similar to the Waterford Crystal. Almost like heavy glass, but it says right on the box... 24% Lead Crystal. The cuts in the glass are not super fine, but are more than acceptable, and give a very attractive look to this set. The ball stopper is extremely heavy and though not frosted, seats well in the neck of the decanter for a nice seal. I thought the decanter itself looked small in the pictures, but it's not, it is a standard size (24 oz or so...guessing). We pealed back the paper on the silver tray, and it was mirrored nicely without blemishes (not that the tray really matters that much ayway). Again, this set is not just a good set for the money, it's a good set.... and the price makes it truly a steal. I would be more than happy to display this set in my home and offer drinks from it to any class of company. I know the gift will go over well, don't hesitate to buy this unless you just want top-notch crystal and desire to spend more money. Great product.

(More customer reviews)The big pieces (the tray, shaker, and I guess ice bucket) are attractive, but the tools are flimsy lightweight stamped-metal things. The jigger has BURN marks inside it from where it was spot-welded to the handle. The ice bucket is very small, too small to hold a wine bottle on ice. Pretty junky overall.

(More customer reviews)I bought this chiller thinking that it would be great to chill things quickly when I forget to put wine in the fridge or if company comes over unexpectedly. WRONG, this unit is only good for keeping your already chilled wine cold or maintaining its current temperature. In the manual, they mention that your wine should already be cold since it can take hours to get it chilled using their unit. It is not good for quickly chilling anything at a moments notice. They should change the product description to reflect the true use/ability of this unit.
