(More customer reviews)I recently purchased the Bodum thermal wall glasses despite the warnings about their fragility. One has already shattered even though I treated it like a museum piece.It was quite nice to look at, but so very fragile.
So I am very delighted with the weight and apparent durability of the Strong Double Wall glasses I received and would have purchased them first had I but known. The "glass" is thick and the weight is hefty.Only two drawbacks, the glasses only hold 11.5 ounces of liquid and the glass does sweat slightly with condensation. So far though, these are the ones to buy.

I waited a day to see if the others were being shipped separately and then called the company. They made an error and after talking to the product manager, he sent out the rest of the set. Apparently he talked to the company who makes the product who also sent me almost a complete set, so my 9 piece set turned into 18...for the same price as the original 9 piece set.

It was smaller than what I thought, but then again, I didn't read the measurments before I brought it, so thats my fault. This is also good if you have some expensive or exclusive liquor that you only drink on special occasions like a good bottle of XO remy or something.

(More customer reviews)My wife and I ordered two sets, as we wanted service for twelve. Both sets arrived intact (no broken glasses or pitchers), the quality and heft of the glasses and pitchers is just right and the glass is clear and free from defects.
The only reason that we didn't give this set five stars is that the design of the pitchers lends itself to cracking down a seam that runs across the front of the pitcher.
We broke one pitcher the first time we used the set when it bumped against another dish in the sink. We have used the second pitcher several times since and are careful to keep it away from other dishes or pans.

(More customer reviews)Admittedly, bartending is not an area of expertise for me; I've never done it professionally. Although I haven't really used other shakers extensively, I've tried, and don't like, the 3 part kind. This one is cheap, and easy to use. The seal is good; no need for a rubber edge on the glass. What more do you need? It was remarked in the review of another Boston shaker that the drink recipes on the glass obscure the measurement scale. Not really. This glass has both oz. and mls. I find that the recipes are a good reminder of classic combos, good departure points for creative mixing. (I don't like full strength cocktails, and usually dilute the alcohol 1:2 with fresh squeezed fruit or vegetable juices.)

This one does all of that. It is low price and looks good. It is full size. I actually like that it is plastic rather then glass because it is lighter weight and I'm not afraid of it breaking.

I pulled out the bucket nice, very nice a muted bronze color. More like copper with black overtones. It is not a thin tin holder. This will hold maybe two bottles wine or maybe 6 small bottles of beer, And definitely one Bottle of champagne. Impress your guests with this very attractive beverage chiller at the table. Or Take it out to the backyard and celebrate a perfect ending to a summer day. This is lovely and romantic all you need is some candlelight or a backyard fire pit, Maybe a lovely scene off the patio, deck , terrace...Ahhh I'm daydreaming now! What I need to complete my daydream!Strathwood St. Thomas Cast-Aluminum Round Table with Fire Pit How cozy is that? and oh, on the practical side I am going to buy a fake plant arrangement and keep it on the side table. (More customer reviews)Bought this for ice-chilling occasional bottles of wine and Champagne. Was pleased to find it was well made from heavy weight stainless steel, and had a beautifully polished finish inside and out - very attractive overall. My initial thought on seeing it was that it might be a little short - that the necks of bottles would not get chilled as effectively as the rest. But by tilting the bottles and leaning the necks against the side, that's not the case at all. (It might be, however, for a hock bottle; haven't tried that yet).
This is a bargain compared to several alternatives I've seen, none of which had both the quality construction/finish and handy handles of this unit - and were more expensive as well. Highly recommended.

It makes it feel as if you are drinking from a "dollar store" glass instead of one that costs $6. One good thing though, the ice compartment does help in making your cold drink stay cold longer and doesn't water down your drink by melting ice.

(More customer reviews)Ever since acquiring my favorite piece of furniture (a bar cabinet), I've been delving into the mysteries of mixology bit by bit. It's one of those things that I was initially drawn to in college, due to a fascination for the intricate alchemy that is the mixture of strange liquids in all sorts of colors, but I was too poor then to be able to afford the necessary ingredients and hadn't yet developed a palate for more unusual tastes. Once we decided not to become house-poor by buying a new place but instead concentrated on making the place we had more livable, I began stocking up on different liquors, having already begun a love affair with the gin martini (dry as can be) two years ago.
In that time, I've had three cocktail shakers, and tried several others, and I've finally found the one that, to me, is perfection: the OXO 16-oz Cocktail Shaker. Yes, I know that real mixologists swear by the Boston-type shaker, which is basically a stainless steel container which you can fit a glass of similar proportions into, and I haven't really given that one a fair shake. But the OXO has some things that make it more appealing. It is easier to pour from without making a mess. The double wall construction of the main portion make it possible to hold onto it while shaking without freezer burning your hand. And, best of all, it's dishwasher safe! It's large enough to handle making two drinks at once and it doesn't leak, unlike the last large stainless steel shaker I had.
My mother-in-law was the first to introduce me to the OXO line, as we continue to get new additions to our OXO collection every Christmas. Everything we've got by them is well-designed and great to use (including the other bar accessory, the citrus strainer). I shouldn't have been surprised that their shaker is great.

They were just like I expected and am very pleased with them. We've had them a week and not broken one yet, my last glasses were smaller on the bottom, with thin glass and would tip over in the sink and break.
