(More customer reviews)This Bobber Cooler is definitely a conversation piece. I have had so many comments about it. I used it when floating down a small river near home (No Rapids, just calm water), it doesn't hold its weight, literally. The first thing is that the opening is in the center of the cooler, making it impossible to get drinks out with out pulling the whole cooler out of the water. The opening seam rides just barely about the water, and since it is round the weight shifts a little and the seam will dip into the water. The cooler then fills up with water, which almost immediatly melts the ice, and as it fills up it will sink to the bottom. maybe if there was a rubber gasket to seal it better, it might be ok. The 2 plastic clasps on each side used to close the cooler are really easy to break off, plus they are facing the wrong direction. If you bump something like a rock or a log, it will push the clasp back and then unlatch the cooler.
This cooler might be good to use in bodys of water that do not have current, like a pool, but I don't suggest towing it behind anything. I suggest using one of the many inflateble coolers on the market.

(More customer reviews)I purchased 2 of these coolers a couple weeks ago. Some friends and I went floating on the Guadalupe. Overall this cooler worked very well.
Pros:
1. Between the 2 coolers, we held enough drinks for 12 people to float for 9 hours.
2. The cooler holds ice pretty well. After our 9 hour float, the ice was mostly melted, but this is acceptable because most coolers that I have ever floated with had the same problem.
3. My favorite thing about this cooler is that it floats on top of the water... so no dragging bottom when you go through low spots (and there were many low spots). The only time I would drag bottom is when the water was less than 2-3" deep, but it still drug accross these spots easily.
Cons:
1. There is only one... there aren't enough handles. This cooler gets quite heavy when loaded down with drinks and ice. There is only one handle, so getting the cooler in and out of the river and truck was painful (especially for some inebriated rednecks like me and my friends after a 9 hour float)

(More customer reviews)I was fairly set on getting a cooler for the pool. Nothing hurts your feet more than the hot pavers around the pool baking in the sun when you have to walk over to the garage fridge to grab another drink.
I purchased it based on the price and the 2 good reviews on Amazon.
Pros:
Easy to inflate
Made of fairly tough material
Cord to attach to yourself to keep your beer near you
Inflates Easily
Ice stayed cold/frozen for quite a while
Drinks fit snugly into the holders
Cons:
With ice, I barely got 6 bottles of beer in this cooler. I know the description mentions cans, but I haven't drank beer from a can since college.
Overall, if you are buying this for personal use, pick one up, it is a very good little cooler. But if you are buying this so that friends dont have to get up and go to the fridge when they are swimming at your house, buy a few of them...they don't hold nearly enough.

(More customer reviews)Tried this cooler out this weekend on the lake and it worked out well. The cooler section is separate from the inflatable section which allows you to haul it around by the shoulder strap. The item that amazon shipped was a little different from the stock photo. It was octagonal in shape and the cooler reads "24 pack" on the lid. I was pleasantly surprised by how cold it kept everything as it is just a soft-sided cooler. There is a eyelet for a tying a rope on which is nice. The rope hole (1/2") is pretty small, but appropriate.
In comparison to the Big Bobber floating cooler, the Aqua Oasis hold more and is considerable more stable. The Bobber is definitely more distinctive, but is harder to open and close with out dumping everything out.
