Mechanix Wear MCW2-08-010 Zone 2 Cold Weather Glove, Black/Grey, Large Review

Just received. I have short fingers so ordered small size per usual experience. This glove was extremely tight to get on. Hand barely made it past the "throat". Once inside, the fingers fit fairly well, although there was still considerable space between end of fingers and end of the glove. The glove lining is loose from the exterior glove layer, causing seams and other portions of the lining to seem to clump between fingers and the outer glove layer, creating uncomfortable sensation of "something in the glove". Appears to be no solution except "get used to it". Also don't expect lots of dexterity here. You pay a price in dexterity for the layers that provide the warmth. Reminded me of ski glove, only with tougher exterior surface. In retrospect I think I prefer more flexible "ironclad" or "mechanix" unlined type work glove with the addition of a separate silk or metal thread liner from the ski market for warmth.

Each of these HeatTrak HR-P Control units can control up to fifteen HeatTrak HR10-30 Residential Snow & Ice Heated Safety Tread, 10-Inch by 30-Inch, 120 Volt or five HeatTrak HR20-60 Residential Snow & Ice Heated Walkway Mat, 20-Inch by 5-Foot, 120 Volt (or a combination of each), so we needed two units to control two Step Mats coupled to four Walkway Mats and one for five additional Walkway Mats. These work pretty much as expected, with the following observations:
+ Easy To Install; connects to mats via a waterproof coupler
+ Heats Up Fast; was over 80 degrees Fahrenheit after fifteen minutes
See my individual reviews of the Walkway and Stair mats if interested those products.

The HeatTrak control unit allows you to hook up your HeatTrak walkway and stair mats to power your heated mats. Every group of stair mats and walkway mats requires a GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) control unit to connect the system to an electrical outlet. The control unit contains a watertight connector that will allow it to connect to the first or last mat in your system. The control unit is rainproof, so it can be left outside for the entire winter season. If you do not buy a GFCI Control Unit, your mats will not work. Additionally, if you are ordering heated mats for more than one location (front and back of the house) you must order a control unit for each location. Each control unit can connect up to 5 walkway mat, 15 stair mats or a combination thereof, up to 15-amps. This unit has a cord length of 6 feet.
