(More customer reviews)My wife bought the GXRTDR in-line water filter because the GXRTQR filter was no longer available and the box said it would work as a replacement. As far as I can tell, it will only work if your old tubing is 1/4 in. Mine is 1/2 in. There were adapter fittings for the GXRTQR so I never had any problem with replacing it. I tried to do an install, thinking that the stub of a tube inside the fitting would marry, but it was too short, so I had to put the old filter back on. I have to either replace the tubes on fridge & at the faucet, or find another filter.

You don't need to spend a ton of money on a fancy water filtration system, and you certainly don't need to buy a new fridge just to get clean, healthy filtered water.
