The compressor was replaced twice. 30 days later it stopped working again. Another loss in seafood and meat. This is a very poor product. Purchased thru Sears. Had a warranty contract with Sears. When I called Gladiator Garageworks they said that Sears is NOT an authorized service providor for this Freezerator. There was nothing in the owners manual that stated that another service provider was to be contacted. We lost a tremendous amount of money for the Freezerator + all the food. Got rid of the Freezerator and purchased another freezer.

LG : LSC27910TT Refrigerator Review

Their customer service was always poor, but I just didn't realize how poor....and I'm not even going to elaborate on the dropped calls, the false promises of return calls, and the unwillingness to resolve the situation, I'll just report on the poor quality of the product...
Bought the LG LSC27910TT in July of 2008. Within 2 mo. the refrigerator was holding 62F on the coldest setting and the freezer was at -20F at the warmest setting. Basically, there was a damper that wasn't sending cold air to the fridge and it was sending the humid air into the freezer, so frost was collecting very quickly in the freezer. It took 4wks to get a new LSC27910TT from LG. They sent me a new one due to the part being backordered....which means what??? Yes....this is a common issues with this model.....very common. So...it will take a minimum of 4wks for you to get a replacement fridge if you have this issue.
Now....onto the new one. They sent a new one, not refurbed, but new. And yes....this one is now broken. The ice cube flap on the door (which works via a motor) will not open when ice falls to the door....so it's jammed every time. Sent for replacement parts....turned out not repairable. Meanwhile, talking to LG is like talking to my 8wk old....I actually get more of a response from him. I wanted a new model. No dice!!! They wanted to charge me 1/2 the difference. A good try, but I'm not throwing any more of my money LG's way.
I still don't have the 3rd fridge, but I sure hope it works!

The 2-door design is very useful so you can place large, less frequently needed items in the bottom bin and just open the top door for more frequently needed items. The shelving is ample to help organize foods. The bottom drawer does take a little tugging at times. Unfortunately, we purchased this model specifically for the door alarm. Within days of delivery, the alarm began malfunctioning. After several attempts by the company to fix the problem, the part needed is no longer available. Whirlpool is standing behind its product and is shipping us a new 2009 model as a free replacement.

(More customer reviews)The freezer half of my "side-by-side" refrigerator has been so hard to work from. Everything purchased and saved in plastic bags....when you try to get one out it starts an avalanche of frozen goods crashing out of the freezer and on to the floor.
These Arrow freezer containers have made things so much easier. They stack neatly on the shelves and are easy to lift out and re-stack. The assortment of sizes is great for me. I am not using them to "put up" garden veggies. I use them to store bulk nuts, leftovers and cook-ahead foods and soups, cookies, sauces, homemade ice cream.....anything that goes in the freezer. I don't have to worry about things getting crushed (cookies,nuts) or a bag getting torn and leaky and causing freezer burn.
I would also like to add the Arrow customer service is the best. I phoned them with a problem of a missing lid (could be I threw it away accidentally when unpacking?). A live person answered the phone and I had my replacement lid in a couple of days at no cost to me.
And one more important thing..all their products are MADE IN AMERICA.

The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because after using it twice, it does appear to have some scratches on it already. That might be expected, though, since the dry sink in the bar is metal. All in all, a good quality product - I'm very pleased.

When I first saw these ice-cube (tube?) trays on Amazon, I KNEW they
reminded me of SOMETHING I had seen before. I thought a while, and then it hit me....THE LOOK JUST LIKE OLD-FASHIONED CANDLE-MOLDS! Now, I have never made candles myself...but I have seen, (as I guess every American school-child, past and present, has seen), pictures of women in the American Colonies, making candles from andle-molds. Every time I will use these, I thought excitedly, I could think of those long-off days of self-reliance, thrift, hope, and love...virtues far too overlooked in today's world. What a nice way to be reminded of these things -- and get some great ice-cubes, too!
Excitedly, I sent away for a tray, with visions of Pilgrim ladies filling my mind....
When it arrived, today, I noticed something I had neglected to see in the photo of the ice-cube tray: there was a BLUE BOTTOM to the tray, attached to it like a slim pedestal. I read the directions for using this ice-cube tray, and the "pedestal", (or coloured base), in using it....
The directions are:
1_ Press base into each individual tube. You will hear a "snap" sound as each tube seals
2_ Fill tubes 3/4 full with water
3_ Freeze
4_ Run coloured base under warm/hot water evenly for 45-60 seconds.
5_ Ice will slide out
6_ Store unused ice in an air-tight container
7_ Enjoy an "ice-cold" bottled beverage!
Well, maybe I don't have enough strength to re-attach the pedestal part to the main mold. All I know, is that after trying for a while, I heard hardly any "snaps" at all. When I filled the tubes, MOST stayed filled....but there was still a depressing
little stream of water coming from the bottom, of those molds that did not have a pedestal "out-cropping" fitted into them.
After 2 hours, I tried to get the ice-tubes out. Those that were full did come out, (from the bottom, not from the top!) -- but there was still a depressing thin sheet of ice, under where the tray had been, which is where the drippings from the water that did not go into some of the tube-molds went. I did manage to get about 10 ice-tubes, (out of 27 molds), out. They make fine, solid ice-tubes....but there has GOT to be an easier way!
And...guess what? There actually is! If you want to put ice into a sports bottle, or other narrow-necked container, USE THE CAMCO ICE-TRAY FOR SMALL REFRIGERATORS! I had bought some before & they are great! But, history-lover that I am, I couldn't resist these "candle-making" ice-cube trays. What a mistake!
As for this "Ice Tube Tray" ice-cube maker... Well, maybe I can use it as a pencil-holder or something....?
Looking carefully at the wrapping, I see that these trays are made by
"Ice Tubes, Inc. -- The 21st Century Ice Cube". I wonder if the manufacturers, too, thought of candle-making molds, when they made this design. Maybe it will work for someone stronger than I am....but as for me, they don't work at all. Was candle-making so ardurous a task as trying to make ice-tubes from these molds? Right now, I don't know. I do know, however, that these tubes are "Made In U.S.A."...., by IceTubes, Inc., ([...]), in Tallmage, Ohio, 44278. This, of course, makes any patriotic North American VERY happy, (as SO many things are sadly made in Communist China, today) -- but I only wish the trays worked --- er, worked better?
My suggestion here is to make the individual tubes with closed tops...(bottoms?), and to use the "base" only as a covering device. When the ice is molded, all one has to do is wait five minutes for the ice to unmold. Then put the finished tubes into an ice-bin, SHAKE, and IMMEDIATELY place in the freezer. Shaking will keep the tubes from sticking to each other. And making the ice-tube trays with CLOSED TOPS (bottoms?) will make the creating of these ice-tubes much easier.
Hope this idea will "hold water", Ice-Tubes, Inc. I really like the "candle-making design" of this ice-cube tray. Now, if it only make ice cubes easily!

I wanted to make natural frozen treats for my toddler so she would get used to not-so-sugary treats. I started with just freezing organic yogurt and escalated to complex little "meals" on a stick that my toddler still actually thinks is ice cream. Lowfat Plain Greek yogurt, fruit & veggie purees, mashed banana & avocado, a little artistic flair & you can make your own polka dot pops that are tasty and fun and have no added sugars, sweeteners or anything artificial.

When you make these freezer pops--whatever you are freezing--you'll want to run it under warm water from the tap for a few seconds. If you just try to use brute force to pull it out, you'll end up pulling the stick out of the frozen pop(DOH!). Warm water, try to pull out the pop...if it doesn't come out easily, just use a little warm water, rather than just yanking harder.
These are awesome and I think I want to buy another set or two. It's winter and I make a batch of 8 each week. When hot weather rolls in, I think I'll need to keep a lot more frozen pops on hand.
The only thing I wish I knew is whether these are BPA free or not. If anyone knows how to find out, please tell me.

Oxo Good Grips Beak Ice Cream Scoop - Polished Review

Although the scoop's design is great and it handles well, the coating on my scoop has begun to peel after only 6 mos. of use. And I don't really need teflon in my super fudge chunk, thank you very much.
