(More customer reviews)I live in Northern Michigan and have three dogs, two of them with arthritis and hip & joint problems. Before I found Musher's Secret, I would have to carry my dogs to their "potty spot" in the backyard, through all the snow, and then carry them back in--the pads of their paws and their feet would hurt so much, they couldn't walk back in on their own.
I've tried dog boots, homemade boot concoctions and even had winter boots made for my dogs, all to no avail. They either slipped off as soon as I put them on or didn't do any good and my dogs feet STILL hurt them.
Musher's Secret, though, has been a blessing. I apply it daily to my two older dogs and to my poodle and it's made SUCH a difference. We still can't leave them out too long in the winter weather, but I don't worry about their feet or their pads hurting, splitting, getting (pet safe) ice melter/salt in their pads or between their toes.
I recommend Musher's Secret to EVERY dog owner and I'm looking forward to using it this summer when we take our dogs on walks on the city sidewalks--it's great for hot or cold weather, and we LOVE it.

(More customer reviews)Bottom line: this stuff is the real deal! After searching online and reading several reviews we settled on Musher's Secret for our hyperactive Entlebucher. He tends to run recklessly through everything and often dings up his pads every other month, if not more frequently. After using this product for about a month we have noticed an incredible difference in the playability and smoothness of his pads. There are no more cracks and rough areas that lead to tears and cuts in the pad/paw. He doesn't mind having the wax rubbed in (I think he actually enjoys the foot massage) and the wax also helps minimize the amount of debris he brings in after walks. If your pooch has pad issues I highly recommend that you try this product.

Musher's Secret Paw Protection (1 lb) is a dense barrier wax that forms a breathable bond with your dog's paws. Developed in Canada for use with sledding dogs, it provides protection even in the most extreme conditions. Perfect for dogs who don't like boots! (More customer reviews)I have a German Shepherd dog and I use Musher's Secret on his paws during the winter so that the salt and ice do not hurt them. He used to spend a lot of time licking his paws before I got this and now he doesn't do it as much when it snows (although he seems to like licking the Musher's Secret from his paws when I've just put it on) and he doesn't do it at all in normal weather. His paws tend to get worn and this product helps soothe and protect them. You don't have to use a lot either, so it lasts a long time. Thank you Musher's Secret for my baby's happy feet!
