Hopkins 3512SW Condor 35" Swivel Snowbrush Review

I use it mostly as pictured (brush head square to the handle). The head locks into place reliably. The scraper works well. The handle is long enough to clear the roof of a sedan from one side of the car (pushing or pulling), yet short enough to conveniently stow in the passenger footwell. Judging from the one I owned previously (which was misplaced), it will last many years. It is definitely worth the premium over brushes one sees in most stores.

It's a little annoying that the only position that the pivoting brush head locks in to is the center position. If you are trying to sweep snow with it in the side position it has a tendency to move. Other than that it is a great brush. Very handy to have it telescope out so far. Makes clearing my truck off a lot easier.

Ice scrapers are a pretty humble tool, no one gives them much thought. Having spent my life in regions where layers of ice cover car windows every single winter morning, I'd gone through dozens of ice scrapers before stumbling on this guy. This one has clearly been designed by people who deal with a lot of icy windows.
First, they got the angles right. Most scrapers do this reasonably well so this isn't much of an accomplishment, but this one is the complete package. You get a good angle on both the windshield and the side windows, in most cases you only need a single pass. The handle is solidly designed so you can keep a decent grip when sweeping snow, too.
Second, the brush. You want the brush parallel with the handle to make it easy to sweep snow off the car. Many ice scrapers either omit the brush or attach it parallel with the scraper blade.. neither case is useful when you got 6 inches of powder to clear.
Third, the extra handle hovering over the scraper. This is what makes the tool better than any other. Sometimes you need a little extra "dig" to get the ice off, and pressing into the front grip lets you really lay in to stubborn ice.
The only downside with the brush is the blade is fairly cheap plastic.. about what you'd expect for ten bucks. It'll probably survive two or three winters of being tossed into the back seat before nicks in the blade make it annoying. Other than that the quality is superb. Bristles stay attached, and the handle is nice and thick.

Mallory 511-E Long Reach Telescopic SnoBroom Review

this is the right size for ordinary car windshields. i've had larger snow brooms that were too wide and would not fit the curve of the windshields.
the squeegie and ice scraper blades are the right size. squeegie a little big for side mirrors but that's because i have a compact. it works ok for an average sized sedan's side mirrors.
the brush itself is also of reasonable size. the length is also more than sufficient for a car.
the extender lock is easy to use but it rotates the broom in relation to the scraper if you don't hold on to both ends. that causes a little bit of inconenience by forcing you to change the orientation of the broom in your hand when you want to use the other end, but only a little. i've owned an older model of this and it had a simple lock by twisting the 2 ends in relation to each other. now there's that little knob in the center which i don't know why it was added because it just adds another moving part and allows the 2 ends to be unaligned when locked.
have not tested this on anything larger than a wagon.

Very good reach with this product, due to it's length. Also the ice scraper worked well. Unfortunately, after the 4th use, the ice scraper head snapped off, with only the usual amount of force. I believe the cold weather weakened the plastic because it snapped under almost no effort.

I live in southern Colorado where 4-5 feet of snow in my yard most of the winter is not unusual.
This is the best brush-scraper by far. I can reach my 3/4 ton truck from one side. The swivel
head makes storage easy.

I had purchased a Hopkins extendable snowbrush to help get the snow off the roof of my SUV. It worked so well that I decided to get one for my car as well. The pivoting brush head makes it easy to push or pull snow off the flat surfaces of the vehicle. I also got to use the more aggressive ice scraper to get 1/4" thick freezing rain off the windows. It worked very well. The extension feature is quite handy. It allows you extra reach on an SUV or truck, but yet collapses down to a manageable size for storage. I would recommend this product if you need the extra reach to clear off larger vehicles, or need the stout ice scraper for freezing rain.

Not that great.
It is awkward to hold and when you use it on the windshield it only "rips" a thin stripe.
