(More customer reviews)I actually bought this for a girlfriend that is having a baby, but my son has one of his own. I love this bear. It's so soft and he love's to hug and touch it all the time. It's really great that the sounds play when activated by my son's voice/cry. You have so many sound choices to choose from, but I particularly love the music. It's very soothing.

Shark Fin Ice Tray Review

(More customer reviews)EVERY fin "floats" on side NEVER upright as in image. I have been experimenting for DAYS with half a dozen batches of "fins" each day. I have been freezing Reverse Osmosis filtered water (six stage). Prior to freezing the water is first boiled in microwave to disposes it of oxygen: for clear cubes. I have also frozen tap water, and distilled water. Same vexatious experience: fail.
Perhaps with a dremel I can trim the ice such that the fin will stand perpendicular to beverage surface. Maybe fins prefer alcohol? :rolleyes: It would probably be easier to carve fins from a Tovolo King Cube [favorite silicone ice tray] than to tinker with the shark tray hoping for at least one sharklike fin.
Consider how the tray sits in the freezer. I have mine resting on a plastic cutting board to provide a flat surface for the fin tips to rest. I arrange the tips so the top tray surface is itself entirely flat.
Unfortunately I could not wait a MONTH for the UK seller, "find me a gift" [seller=A1L4HT9WCK7DNA], package to arrive in time to gift it to someone so I ordered a second shark fin tray from a suddenly new American vendor, "Cool Stuff Express" [seller=A1F1JC5LAEA5EU]. Both trays are identical and therefore equally poor at producing the claimed ice mold. I ordered from "find me a gift" Jan 19, amazon claimed "Delivery Estimate: February 15, 2011 - March 1, 2011". Jan 20 I ordered from "cool stuff express" amazon claimed "Delivery Estimate: January 26, 2011 - January 31, 2011". The second order arrived in about a week followed by the first order a few days later :( Now I have a useless shark fin ice tray and a friend has a useless shark fin ice tray: two displeased owners.
This "shark fin" ice cube tray is clearly defective [by design]: NEVER producing ice that floats ___as shown___ on item page. I feel defrauded, a victim of bait & switch![Images and videos forthcoming]I recommend handgun silicone ice mold tray

First of all, the handles are so heavy (and the spoon-part is so light) that they topple out of small bowls, which I think are the best for ice cream eating. Second of all, the craftsmanship isn't the best. The first spoon I use broke--the handle detached from the metal spoon-part. I was rather disappointed, because while I value aesthetics, function is just as important, if not more. An ice cream spoon should be sturdier than normal spoons.

(More customer reviews)This is a hard one. On the one hand, in the description, it does say how big it is (about 5 inches) and I did look and take that into consideration when I ordered it. I hate when reviewers take away from a product when what they don't like was clearly stated.
Okay, so the other part in the description says it is functional. It is only functional as a keepsake. Believe me, you will not be dipping ice cream with this. As a keepsake, it is cute and 5 stars. As an ice cream scoop, it gets one star. We actually did try to use it - it started bending on the first scoop :-) So, since they advertised it as both - I went with three stars. Hope this helps someone make a more informed choice.

Tovolo Farmyard Ice Cream Sandwich Molds, Set of 3 Review

(More customer reviews)I bought these molds on a whim. They were cute and I wanted to make some ice cream sandwiches. I bought two sets, but when I got them and read the instructions, I was a bit worried that I really didn't need both of them.
My wife and I split up the work. I made ice cream a couple days in advance. Then she made a sheet of cookie. While the cookie sheet was cooling, I used the molds to cut out the cookie shapes (2 per sandwich) and imprint the little animal faces. Once the cookies were cool and the we had softened up the ice cream in the refrigerator, she placed a cookie at the bottom of each of the assembled molds (suddenly we were happy to have extras). I filled them with ice cream, placed a second cookie on top and then used the top to gently squeeze each sandwich until the ice cream filled out to the edges of the mold (the molds are translucent, so it's easy to see when you've squeezed enough). Then I popped the sandwich out the bottom and she wrapped them in cellophane. Repeat until done.
Now we have a freezer full of adorable little ice cream sandwiches that we can't wait to eat! I can't recommend these molds enough. I had been worried that our first attempt would be marred by mistakes and unseen difficulties, but we followed the instructions and they worked perfectly!
