(More customer reviews)I have had this refrigerator for just about 3 months now, and it has been great. I didn't have too much space (small apt.)for a fridge, so the depth and width of this unit was just right. The biggest selling point for this refrigerator would probably be the amount of interior space it offers within its small footprint. It feels and looks very refined inside and out, and I love the defined lines and minimal look of the design. I am glad the freezer compartment has shelves as opposed to just a basket. It's easy to clean, whisper quiet while its cooling, keeps food at the right temperatures (and no cross odors in my ice!), The front LCD is simple to use and understand, and the water dispenser angle works wonders when I'm filling something larger than a glass. The quick chill feature, which will cool a bottle in 15min, is probably my favorite and most used feature. One thing I wish it did have though is a light for the freezer. Sometimes I don't feel like turning on all the kitchen lights to see in there. I'd definitely recommend this refrigerator(and brand for that matter)to those working with limited space, but don't want to sacrifice design or quality.

It cleans fast, unlike my Oster, and it is powerful considering its size. I use it daily, it has a small footprint on the counter, and it blends what you need for one person in the serving cup. I also use the serving cups and lids even when I haven't used the blender. They are very convenient tumblers.

(More customer reviews)I bought this blender from Sams Club over 3 years ago and it is still working great. I use it every day. I guess some people just got a bad blender. It does crush ice almost as good as the Vita-Mix. I use it to make "green smoothies" because I don't eat a lot and I need to get my fruits and veggies daily. I mix frozen rasberries, blueberries, blackberries, mangos, hemp protein powder, 6 baby carrots, a huge bunch of fresh spinach, and parsley with some pomegranite juice and orange juice and 2 small packages of splenda. It pulverizes the frozen fruits and vegetables to a smooth liquid. Start it out on the lowest setting and let it run because it slowly pulls the ingredients down to the bottom. The directions say to do it that way. Maybe the people whose motor went out started it out on high all the time. Who knows? I thought I needed a Vita-Mix for this but turns out this blender is just as good at no where near the costs.

First, the not-so-good: I bought the stand mixer, model number RKG25HOXER. This type of mixer mimics in design what you see in professional bakeries inasmuch as it has a handle on the side of the mixer that you raise in order to bring the bowl to the beater level. This, in my opinion, is the drawback and I would never consider buying this model again. The level of inconvenience is tremendous and annoying. To be specific, it is very difficult to add ingredients with this design. Imagine you are mixing a batter and you must slowly and gradually add flour. You can't fit a 1/4 cup measuring cup within the bowl circumference (which is very small). To add ingredients, you must stop the machine; lower the bowl; add a the ingredient; raise the bowl; and begin the mixing process. You have to do this as many times as you need to add something to your batter. I couldn't imagine that someone had not thought of a solution for this problem, so I began my research. I found that in order to add ingredients, it is recommended that you purchase a special KitchenAid plastic apparatus that fits the lip of the bowl. This apparatus has a spout or chute in which to add things. I believe KitchenAid calls it a splash guard, but I could be wrong. So, add this $20 to the price of your mixer, because you will need to buy it. The apparatus is not the solution as your ingredients stick to the plastic spout/chute (imagine adding an egg, then having to add a bit more flour). The bottom line with this machine is that the design is NOT convenient.
Now, the good: It's a KitchenAid and you will never find a better motor or quality mixer. I adore the durability! What a less pricey brand would struggle to mix, a KitchenAid simply plows through. Doughs, any batter, kneading, you name it; the machine does it. The optional attachments are quality made (graters, grinders). A KitchenAid will do everything short of birthing your children. While I would never recommend the design I ended up with, I could never recommend anything BUT a KitchenAid. I suggest buying the model where the head of the mixer lifts, just like your Mom's did. If I was a rich woman, I would go out today and buy that model design, but alas, I am stuck with what I am stuck with.
Bottom line: Buy a KitchenAid, do not buy anything else. Buy the head-lift design and you will be happy for life. I wish I had known!

(More customer reviews)Living in rural Maine, about the only place around here to get a hand mixer is WalMart. I was very unimpressed with the quality of the mixers that our store carried. I bought my last mixer there, and it didn't last a year. I have other Sunbeam products--an iron, a breadmaker--and have been pleased with their performance. I read a lot of the reviews here on Amazon before ordering my mixer. I agree with what most people say about it. It was well worth the price. It is a nice handling mixer, has good balance, and doesn't feel cheap. It has plenty of power to do anything that I need it for. I don't think I've even used the highest setting yet. The biggest test for any mixer I use is a big batch of chocolate chip cookies. This will work one up with ease. The only reason I hesitate to give it a five star rating is the fact that I haven't had it for a long time yet. If it lasts, it will be worth a 5.

(More customer reviews)I've owned my BAMIX hand blender for the past 12-years. It has never let me down and it truly is the most versatile kitchen device in my arsenal of cooking appliances. The machine works well between mixing & blending items on a hot stove, to crushing ice in in a single glass for making margaritas, all within seconds apart. The open ended design allows it to get at all the material you are chopping & mixing, and clean up is truly fast and easy. I've recently bought another hand mixer this year, because I misplaced my BAMIX hand blender. Anyway, what a disapointment to find that this major-named-brand of mixer, only has one blade, and it can't fit into a normal drinking glass. This past month I found my tried-n-true BAMIX hand blender, and was so grateful that I threw out the practically new hand mixer. Now that's true dedication to a product.
I have not seen anything close to the design of this hand blender on the market to this day that can replace this amazing machine. My only complaint is that I wish the price would come down. After all, it is one of the most expensive hand blenders on the market, but it is certainly the best.

Monterrey MT45151 Blender and Smoothie Maker with 48-Ounce Plastic Jar and Serving Spigot Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this unit to make smoothies, as I did not have a lot to spend at the time, and I believe that as long as you treat the unit with care, it should last for awhile.
It actually has the equivalent of 6 speeds, as on the right side is has the 3 speed and pulse buttons, and on the left, a High and Low button: 3 LOW AND 3 HIGH speeds.
The Blades in this unit are EXTREMELY sharp, and that is likely the key to it working as good as it does!
I will throw in a bunch of Grapes, a whole Kiwi, a couple of Kale leaves, a handful of Spinach, a half an Orange, a half a Banana and a whole but small Pear, 4 big ice cubes and a cup of water.
I start it on low, (or sometimes repeatedly hit the pulse button) where it pulls everything down in about 15 seconds, and then I will shift it to the highest speed to grind everything to a liquid, which takes about a minute and a half.
After running it that long, the motor seems to emit a strange odor, but that seems to be decreasing. It is pretty noisy on the highest speed.
I then take the blade unit off of the bottom of the container and rinse everything thoroughly, then let air dry.
The spigot top will unscrew and can be cleaned this way, but since I never use it, I keep it closed, then just open it when rinsing.
The only part that is seemingly vulnerable to a leak is the gasket that goes between the blade assembly and the container. If you over-tighten, it will deform and leak. If you don't tighten it enough, it will leak. It took me a day or two to figure how much to tighten it. You can see the gasket and it's contact to the container while tightening. If it starts to appear wiggly, you are over-tightening it. The seal between the actual blade shaft and base has not leaked.
I know this is not a Vita-Mix or Blendtec, but it will make good smoothies with that crazy sharp blade, and grind ice to non-existence in short order.
The only question now is, "how long will it last?", especially in daily use.
I bought this after seeing a Blendtec demo at Costco and wanted to see how I would fare personally by adding fruits and vegetables to my diet each day via smoothies, and I can tell you that I have lost 3 pounds this week so far, and feel absolutely great as compared to the sluggish me before.
The price I paid was about an 1/8th of the Blendtec, but don't think for one minute that the quality is anywhere close. It works, but for how long???

(More customer reviews)I owned a Hamilton Beach blender and food processor combo unit for over 10 years and loved it.....I used it every day until I wore it out. (I'd say a 10 year run is really a good run!) Because I loved my previous Hamilton Beach blender/food processor, I decided to look at blenders in the Hamilton Beach line again, and was very impressed at the wide selection they offer. My food processing and blending needs have increased as I have had a lot of dental work done recently, and still need more done, so I need a lot of smoothies and purees right now, so I use it more than once/day. There were no reviews for this blender on Amazon, but there were 3 reviews on WalMart's site, and everyone loved it, so I decided to give it a try. The features I wanted were 1.) A glass jar 2.) High power, low piercing sound 3.) Sturdy, solid base 4.) No push buttons for easy cleaning 5.) Stainless steel/black to match my kitchen/sleek, retro look because I leave it out on the counter 6.) Cord storage so there wasn't excess cord showing on the counter 7.) High performance 8.) Leak proof bottom of blender 9.) Wave action 10.) Sharp blades 11.) Easy to take apart and clean.... Boy, oh boy, does this baby meet every one of my hopes and dreams!!!!!!!!.......The base is not a heavy metal, so it is easy for me to handle, too.....The glass jar has a beautiful, classy light green tint to it.....(you can see it on the handle).....I like the wider glass jar verses a taller narrower one, too.....I love the easy to use pulse and speed dial....high and low feature, too.....perfect amount of "speeds", in my opinion.....I love the pour spout on the glass jar, my other blender didn't have that and I was always a little annoyed when I went to pour purees out of it and it drizzled down the side....whatever, pretty small annoyance on that blender because I still loved it and got my money's worth!......Over-all, this is an A-1 blender in every aspect of my compliment of it.....Props to the small appliance engineer who designed it!!!!....Love it, Love it, Love it.....Thanks Hamiliton Beach!!!!!!!!!

KitchenAid 5-Quart Artisan Design Series Stand Mixer KSM155GB Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this product as an upgrade to my KSM150. I know it's not technically an upgrade, as the motor, size, and function are identical, however, it sure feels like it. The glass bowl, paired with the deep blue and high gloss shine, makes it look more like art than an appliance. It was delivered about 36 hours ago, and I am looking for more ways to use it in my daily cooking. I love the marked measurements on the glass bowl (which is thick, sturdy, and not quite as heavy as Pyrex which is bonus). It seems to run quieter and mix more thoroughly than my old mixer (which was bought in 2007). I should mention my old mixer was just fine, ran great, and I never had one problem with it. I don't have any reason to believe this mixer will not last my holiday baking and general use. I did not need it, however, I had to have it, and now I regret waiting the few weeks I researched and waited to order. I checked all the brands out, as I feel this will be my last stand mixer purchase for quite a while, and even though there are a ton of options out there, some offering more options for less money, I have had great success with Kitchen Aid small appliances, and did not want to give up the option of a funky color to save a few bucks, or spend the same with for a design I don't personally like. Though I originally planned to upgrade to the 6qt lift style, I am glad I looked around and found this because I am absolutely in LOVE.

(More customer reviews)I got this item for Christmas this year, and at first I was disappointed, because I had really wanted a Magic Bullet. Now, I realize I was wrong. I love the rocket blender. I use it at least once a day, sometimes more, for smoothies and blended drinks. I am unable to comment on how it does on regular foods because I haven't tried to make anything else, but just as a single-serve easy-clean smoothie maker it's already worth the money. I have heard of people complaining in reviews about the magic bullet not being able to crush ice, but I use whole ice cubes in every drink and my rocket blender crushes every piece and blends it well. I also think it's better for the design factor, it is much better looking than a magic bullet to leave out on my counter, of course it's a little bigger than a coffee cup, but no one should believe everything they hear in infomercials anyway. Even the plastic drink cups look nicer than those "party mugs" they show on the magic bullet commercial. The best reason I would choose this over a magic bullet? It's half the price.

(More customer reviews)I have yet to see a blender do everything perfectly. This blender isn't likely to go very far on your counter; maybe not because you'll use it all the time, but because it's a pain to lift. Good if you have dedicated bar space, but you'd like to be able to use it for regular kitchen work too. I don't really use a blender for chopping, the knife and kitchen robot are better for me, but for liquids it's the way to go.
Questionable features are the digital timer and flashing lights, I don't know about Cuisinart's forays into electronics. I would expect those things to fail before the motor. And why a glass jar with a "durable" plastic handle, huh? As if they were trying to save weight on this one. It's some unnecessary cost-cutting that lowers the robustness a bit and makes cleaning a little trickier.
Separate ice crushing button and being able to add things through the top are both helpful features, and the warranty is excellent, they will usually stand by their products.

(More customer reviews)I upgraded from the standard freezer on top and no water dispenser or ice maker and this review is coming from that perspective.
We bought this fridge because of the dimensions that fit our space. We couldn't get the standard 35 3/4 in width fridge. We looked at LG and the thing I like about this fridge is the internal water dispenser. It means that you do not need to lose any interior space. I'm glad I didn't get the LG because the loss of door space would have been a problem.The ice maker is in the freezer (no crushed ice) and works fast. It makes 100 cubes a day.
The interior space seems to be the same actual space as the old fridge but there are many configuration options making better use of the space, possibly. Not sure if it really makes a difference.
The thing I like the most is the fact that I do not need to bend down to see what's in the fridge.
A few other things that I'd like to mention because I have seen them in other reviews:
Noise: More than a fridge without an ice maker not really noticeable.
Energy efficiency: Seems OK.
Stainless steel: Get the stainless steel spray cleaner (not the wipes). Does a great job keeping the prints off.
Ice maker: Cranks out the ice. Once I think the there-is-enough-ice sensor didn't detect that the ice was full. You can turn off the ice maker so no biggie.
Water dispenser: It has an easy to change filter accessible inside the fridge. Water tastes excellent. The first gallon or so had a plastic taste (I also used a plastic water line) but it went away. I hear this is common.
Freezer drawers: There are three. It seems ok. Very different from the old top freezer. I like it but it makes you pack more efficiently so you can slide the drawers. This tends to force you to pay attention to what you have in the freezer rather than just tightly packing it in like in the old days.
Overall I am very happy with the fridge and would recommend it to anyone. I realized that after I bought the fridge that there was a model with an external water dispenser that doesn't take any space away from the interior (ice maker is still in the freezer). Had this been available when I bought it, I may have opted for it. Still I have no regrets.

(More customer reviews)I bought this because I love my Magic Bullet, however, this is definitely not the same quality. The juicer was ok, but the shredder shot my cabbage across the counter, til I found a really big bowl (it's a 2 man job in the infomercial). The third time I used the Bullet, I tried making some dough. The motor overheated after about a minute, then smoke poured out of the machine. I scraped out the dough and used my KitchenAid to finish the job (easily I might add). Fortunately the motor worked again after it cooled down. Check other sites you'll find this and other worse issues to be common problems - including poor customer service. Save your money. This product is not as advertised.

Even when you think you know how it works you can still get bogged down just trying to set the lid in the jar. Also, it is terrible with ice cubes. It really leaves the cubes as is or barely touches them. If you do blended drinks this is not at all suitable.

Ninja Quad Blade Food & Drink Maker Review

(More customer reviews)The blades on this machine to be EXTREMELY, (and I do mean EXTREMELY) S-H-A-R-P.! Think of the sharpest blade you have ever come across -- a razor-blade, or very, very sharp knife -- and you will have some idea of the EXTREME sharpness of these blades. Yep -- even I knicked myself on these blades, before I realized how very, very, VERY sharp they are. Of course, this exteme sharpness makes for extremely good and powerful cutting action -- but one should be aware of this sharpness before purchasing this item, especially if there are small children in the house, who usually have NO limits at all on their curiousity and mischieveness.
These blades cut VERY well, and do every job advertised! Some blenders do their jobs by having a large wattage or ampere rating -- but the Ninja does it with very, very sharp blades. It is more powerful, in making my prized receipe for thick, heavy salmon moule, than even my beloved Vita Mix 5200, (a great machine....for most things.) Just be sure to "prep" the Ninja first, by pulsing a few times to break up the batter a bit first. Those sharp blades sure know to chop things up, and usually, no water or liquid at all is needed! Amazing!
On the negative side, though, it must be mentioned that both the large set of blades, (which fit into the larger blender-size container), and the small set of blades, (which fit into the mini-container), come in TWO SEPARATE PARTS. So, you get a total of four
blade parts. THE BLADE PARTS MUST BE FITTED TOGETHER FIRST, AND/OR DROPPED SEPARATELY, ON TOP OF EACH OTHER, INTO THE APPROPRIATE CONTAINER. Why EURO-PRO did not put both blade parts together, so the user would have only one blade-part to put into each container, is beyond me. The half-blade parts are obviously smaller, and are easier to lose, in both dishwasher or with hand-washing. There is also a small rubbery-plastic part that fits into bowl part, where the blade is dropped in. It is very small and easy to lose, and if it's lost, it's impossible to put the blades in properly.
The main difference, (the only difference, as far as I can see, anyway), between this item and the Euro-Pro QB900 Ninja Master Prep, also offered here on Amazon, is that the item here will give you two extra mini-blend containers for an extra $10.
Also, the "Master Pod" top part is rather heavy, compared to the rest of the set. After all, the hand-held "Master Pod" is where the motor
is housed! It takes a bit of getting used to, holding this comparatively heavy part, (roughly weighing about a pound-and-a-half), and, though handling this part shouldn't be any trouble at all for normally-abled people, if you're handicapped, and sometimes find it hard to lift anything even as light as a pound and a half, I'd think twice about buying this admittedly nifty little machine. Also, one must always KEEP one's finger pressed down ON the "Master Pod" button, to make the Ninja blender work. Because of the power and sharpness of the blades, oen doesn't really have to keep one's finger on the Master Pod button very long -- but if this is problem, please be aware of it. Unlike traditional blenders, or even the "Magic Bullet" machines, one CANNOT use the "Ninja" Blender unless constantly attending to it and pressing down on the top button...I've also found that preparing a VERY SMALL amount of food is impossible in this machine, because the blades -- unlike those of most other blenders I've used -- do NOT reach all the way to the bottom of the containers-- even the mini-containers. In this, it's just like the Vitamix. What do I mean by a small amount? Well, you can't mix one or two eggs in either of the NINJA containers -- because they will not even reach the bottom blade, which is about an inch from the bottom of the container. For mixing such little amounts, use a conventional, "Osterizer/ Waring" type blender, or the "Magic Bullet" series of blenders. This is an important fact to remember, as so many people live by themselves these days, and sometimes only WANT to mix only one or two eggs, etc.
But the NINJA does the job -- all its jobs -- so very well. Just keep its few short-comings in mind before you decide if this machine is really the one for you. Just like Ninja warriors, it's fast, nimble, works on simple, easy-to-understand, (but VERY powerful!), principles, and looks deceptively simple, sitting there on your counter!
